This morning started out pretty rough, but it is slowly turning into a pretty nice day. For the first time this week, the sun is out and it is not raining. I love to see it rain as much as the next girl, but it gets old after a while.
Couple things going on in my world. Still working on the Goddess Elite's website. Made some major progress on it this week and want to try to finish up the design this week so I can have it up and running next week. Quite a bit to work on for Pagan Writers Community, including getting ready for our cover art project for January. Bex is going to help me - thank goodness!! There is more to be done, but I am starting to get a headache and do not want to think anymore.
Until tomorrow...

I’m Back…
National Novel Writing Month was just too much for me last month that I stopped blogging entirely. 1,667 words a day is no laughing matter, but I managed to pull it off. In the course of 50,000 words, my story changed quite a bit. I am going to be tossing all that I have written and use the same setting for a Young Adult story about the fate of Atlantis. It took 50,000 words to get that brilliant idea.
We had a really nice weekend spending time with the family. On Saturday we went over to my Grandmother’s house to put up her Christmas decorations. We decorated her small tree with Texas-themed ornaments and created a Nutcracker village on her counter. Some ladies from her church are supposed to be coming over next week to her place for a party so she is now all set. After Grandma’s we headed back to my parents’ house to decorate their house. Our Yule celebration is at their house and they are hosting the family Christmas (we celebrate both), so the decorating was for both holidays. I cooked dinner while they decorated and we had a nice meal.
Sunday was the Christmas party for my Mom’s company, ConocoPhillips. They rent Jones Hall and the Houston Symphony for one evening each December. We headed downtown for that event yesterday afternoon. The symphony was great and they added some dancing groups in this year. We ended the evening with dinner from Spaghetti Warehouse before going home to watch Alice on SyFy. The first night was just ok and I am not sure if we are going to finish it tonight instead of watching our normal Castle.
Quite a bit of projects going on at the moment. Working on a Fantasy Me for Nydia. The Goddess Elite is still waiting on their new site template. Working on my first non-fiction book, “Journeys of the Mind: Guided Meditations for Busy People.” Want to get working on the YA Atlantis series, but will probably re-do the Samhain Surprise as a YA short story first. My website and blog need a winter theme too!
Better get to work!!

Fantasy Me Commissions
If you could be anyone in the world, who would you be?
As children, most of us spent our childhood pretending to be someone else. We wanted to be pirates, princesses, nurses, astronauts or even adults. We played dress up and went on imaginary adventures where we were fierce, brave, fair and courageous.
The real world eventually set in and our childhood whimsy went out the door.
My Fantasy Me Commissions are a chance to return to those childhood games and you might even learn something about yourself in the process.
The first step in the process is to answer 4 questions:
Ask Angelique about the pricing and how to get started creating your Fantasy Me today!

- If you could be anyone in the world (past, present, future or fiction), who or what would you be?
- Why did you choose that person?
- How would you describe yourself to someone who has never seen you before?
- Describe your attitude in a few words.

Another LONG Weekend
I am still having a hard time adjusting to the time change. Instead of dragging along as I usually do when I first wake up, I’m full of energy and cannot wait to get started on my tasks. By 7:30 in the evenings I am ready to go to sleep. While this is actually allowing me to get quite a bit more done during the day, especially in the morning, it leaves me with less time to spend with Scott in the evenings. Hopefully I will be able to adjust soon and strike some kind of balance.
We picked up Bones seasons 1 - 3 at Target on sale over the weekend. Scott also got GI Joe and Battlestar Galactica: The Plan. I watched a couple episodes of Bones and some of GI Joe with him, but spent the majority of my time at home on the computer. Celebrated my triumph over 20k last night with a frosty from Wendy’s. Proud of myself for making it further than I have gotten in NaNo before and have my sites set on winning this year.
There is quite a bit going on here at the office so I need to focus. Looking forward to a great week with a trip to the Houston Gem & Mineral Show this weekend!
